TRINITY EVENT DETAILS::

  • EVENT: TRINITY KRITHI AND MANODHARMAM COMPETITIONS
    • COMPOSITIONS OF SRI. MUTHUSWAMY DIKSHITAR, SRI. SHYAMA SASTRY AND SRI. TYAGARAJA ONLY
  • MANODHARMAM COMPETITIONS: JULY 24 – JULY 25 2021
    • REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JULY 16 2021 OR BEFORE.
      (We will close the registrations anytime if we reach the limit. SO REGISTER EARLY.)
  • KRITHI COMPETITIONS: JULY 31 – AUGUST 1 2021
    • REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JULY 20 2021 OR BEFORE.
      (We will close the registrations anytime if we reach the limit. SO REGISTER EARLY.)

 

AGE GROUPS FOR KRITHI COMPETITIONS:
*Age considered as of competition day.

  • Kids: Ages 6 – 9 years
  • Sub Juniors: Ages 10 – 12 years
  • Juniors: Ages 13 – 15 years
  • Seniors: Ages 16 – 19 years
  • Adults: Ages 20 and above

AGE GROUPS FOR MANODHARMAM COMPETITIONS:
*Age considered as of competition day.

  • Ages 15 and above

 

Krithi Competition GUIDELINES:

  • For age group 6-9 choose any one TRINITY krithi and perform.
  • For age groups 10 and above CHOOSE, LEARN AND PREPARE ONE KRITHI FROM EACH OF DIKSHITAR, SHYAMA SASTRY AND TYAGARAJA COMPOSITIONS, A TOTAL OF 3 KRITHIS. Judges will pick one krithi from your 3 krithi list and participant shall perform that krithi.
  • REGISTRATION FEE IS $30 PER PARTICIPANT
  • This is a 100% ONLINE event
  • ONLY TRINITY COMPOSITIONS are allowed.
  • This is a solo competition. Group participation is not allowed.
  • ONLY ONE registration per participant allowed in this category.
  • Prizes are only by age group. There are NO individual prizes for each Composer.
  • Only ‘Sruthi box’ accompaniment allowed. (No tracks or other instruments)
  • Participants will be tested on Sruthi, Laya, Sahithyam, Melody and Overall Presentation.
  • Participants should be in “South Indian Traditional Dress”
  • Participants will get 7 minutes max. for their performance.
  • Participants may be asked to stop if the max. allotted time is exceeded and/or marks may be deducted.
  • SiliconAndhra reserves the right to cancel a category if there is not enough participation.
  • Judges decision is FINAL for all competitions.

 

Manodharmam Competition GUIDELINES:

  • Pick one raagam from the below listed raagams and prepare ANY TRINITY krithi in that raagam.
  • Participants will be tested on, but not limited to, Ragalapana, Krithi, Neravel, Swara Kalpana etc.
  • Prepare for about 30 – 35 minutes of competition time per participant.
  • Judges may/can interrupt the performance to ask questions.
  • REGISTRATION FEE IS $50 PER PARTICIPANT
  • This is a 100% ONLINE event
  • ONLY TRINITY COMPOSITIONS are allowed.
  • This is a solo competition. Group participation is not allowed.
  • ONLY ONE registration per participant allowed in this category.
  • There are NO individual prizes for each Composer.
  • Only ‘Sruthi box’ accompaniment allowed. (No tracks or other instruments)
  • Participants will be tested on Sruthi, Laya, Bhavam, Melody, Technicality and Overall Presentation.

Technology GUIDELINES:

      • It is highly recommended to use a good quality headset for the performance.
      • Use a plain wall or a saree as a background for the performance.
      • Participant should place the camera such that judges should able to see the face and talam clearly.
      • It is recommended to use an electronic tanpura (sruthi box) instead of a phone to avoid distractions during performance.
      • Make sure the sruthi is audible but not too loud.
      • Make sure you have good internet connection with good bandwidth.
      • IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO TEST YOUR SET UP BEFORE THE ACTUAL PERFORMANCE.
